Speech Therapist:

Assessment, evaluation, and testing of patients with speech, hearing, or language disorders
Providing rehabilitative services for speech, hearing, and language disorders
Collaborating and instructing other health team and family members in the home rehabilitation

Evaluation of the patient level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic procedures
Guiding the patient in the use of therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities of daily living for the purpose of improving function
Instructions in adaptations necessary for the performance of activities of daily living
Design and instruction in the use of adaptive devices

Evaluation of patient by administering muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests
Treating patients to relieve pain, develop, or restore function, maintain maximum performance, utilizing teaching, exercises, message, applicable treatments, and modalities
Directing and assisting patients in active and passive exercises, muscle, re-education, and functional mobility training, activities of daily living, including transfer activities, orthotics/prosthetic training, and wheelchair mobility management
Provision of therapy utilizing equipment such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound
